![]() ![]() for those who see pictures of the new 3D graphics. but the 3D graphics are a nice improvement. (previous RCT games have 2D graphics) which are nice. i can't wait to play moreĪnd the updated 3D graphics are really nice. and the improvements on old features, designs, etc. but i am very impressed with all the new features, rides, etc. I have only played RCT3 briefly, so far (half dozen hours or so) and i feel i've barely scratch the service of all the wonderful things to do. it may seem like a lot of work, but it's not and the benefit is being able to make your staff patrol ONLY the area you want them to.Īnother addition is the standard ramp for foot paths (sidewalks) there is the small incline (to build above your park as always)and now there a steeper hill for paths as well for you to use, so one can get more height on their paths (to go over & under other rides/paths) without taking up as much space in your park. one can now assigns staff a single square at a time. ![]() such as "assigning staff" now instead of being able to assign only by 3X3 square areas at one time, like previous RCT games. improvements and additions on what was already there, and much, much more.Īnd of course the bettering of some features of previous games was nice to. More scenarios, more rides, more new additions that were never in the previous games. This game just keeps up the roller coaster tycoon tradition of more, more more. and making other rides, features, etc, better. with keeping what was liked from previous RCT games and then adding more variety, rides, scenarios, thrills, challenges and fun. Roller Coaster Tycoon (AKA: RCT) does it again. Even so, the basic game is brilliant and there are many many hours of play left in it before the lack of expansion packs becomes a major issue. I have reported our problem to Atari (whose phone number is disconnected) and to Big Island Publishing yesterday but have not a had a reply yet. ![]() Presumably this problem would not be there if you bought the Platinum product which has everything pre-installed. When we installed the expansion packs and / or an updater from the Atari website, the game would no longer start, repeatedly saying that it wanted us to put the CD in the drive (which it already was) and then saying it was the wrong CD. The only problem we hit, and it was a major one, was that we bought this game as the basic game on one CD and the Soaked and Wild expansion packs on separate CDs. It can be played on many levels - build things and watch them work or try to run a profitable business. My son really enjoys this game and I am glad to have him playing it as it is good clean(ish) fun and requires more strategy than just shooting things.
